Gump Research Station & CRIOBE on the Island of Moorea, French Polynesia
The Genomics Standards Consortiums' 22nd workshop is scheduled for March 2022 and will be held in Moorea, French Polynesia.
The Gump Research Station on the Island of Moorea, French Polynesia, regularly hosts classes and conferences. The Research Building is the primary venue for meetings; the Meeting room is climate controlled and can hold 30 to 40 in lecture-style layout. GSC-Moorea expects to receive 40 attendees including sponsors, speakers, local scientists, and GSC board members, many of which are directors and world leaders in their respective technology area.
The Center for Insular Research and Observatory of the Environment (CRIOBE) is one of France’s preeminent laboratories for the study of coral reef ecosystems. It is a research laboratory with more than 70 staff, including academic professors, research scientists and administrative and technical personnel from three of France’s premiere research institutions - École Pratique des Hautes Études (EPHE), the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the University of Perpignan Via Domitia (UPVD) – that together form the CRIOBE USR 3278 research unit. The CRIOBE falls under the prestigious umbrella of the PSL (Paris Sciences & Letters) Research University.
The station has several bungalows including hillside, waterfront as well as dormitory style capable of housing up to 15 people in shared accommodations. World class hotels are a short distance away for those who wish to stay off campus, choose from overwater bungalows or standard hotel rooms.
